Best DVC Resorts for Babies and Toddlers

March 31, 2026
By

All DVC villas are great for stays with babies and toddlers thanks to their larger spaces and extra amenities like kitchenettes, full kitchens, and washers and dryers. However, when you’re traveling with babies and toddlers to Disney World, resort location and amenities can really enhance your stay. Whether it’s because of transportation options that are more stroller-friendly or other amenities, here are the best DVC resorts for traveling with babies and toddlers.

Monorail Loop Resorts

For most families traveling with babies and toddlers, visiting the Magic Kingdom is a top priority. If this sounds like your family, the resorts along the monorail loop make transportation to and from the Magic Kingdom so easy! These resorts include Bay Lake Tower, Grand Floridian, and Polynesian. When boarding the monorail, you do not need to collapse single or double strollers. This is such a big help if your little ones take stroller naps, and you don’t want to wake them just to board transportation.

If you prefer walking over taking any form of transportation, Bay Lake Tower has the shortest walk to the Magic Kingdom (about 10 minutes). The Grand Floridian also has a walking path that is about a 15 minute stroll to the Magic Kingdom.

In addition to the convenient transportation, Bay Lake Tower, Grand Floridian, and Polynesian all have solid quick-service restaurants, which can be important for toddlers (and avoiding any hangry meltdowns).

EPCOT Resorts

EPCOT has a lot to offer babies and toddlers, with lots of character meet-and-greets and attractions without height minimums, such as Living with the Land, Gran Fiesta Tour, and The Seas with Nemo & Friends. To stay close to all that EPCOT has to offer, the Beach Club and BoardWalk are great options. Both DVC resorts are within walking distance of EPCOT and Hollywood Studios or just a Friendship Boat ride away. To take the Friendship Boats with a stroller, you just need to board the back of the boat and park behind the back rows. No need to collapse the stroller!

Besides the easy transportation, the BoardWalk is a nice option for little ones who need space to get their wiggles out. The Village Green right outside of the lobby is the perfect spot for new walkers to wander or for older toddlers to run around. Some find the Beach Club’s Stormalong Bay feature pool too big for little ones, but it does have a shallow wading pool and lots of sand for kids to play in and build sandcastles.

Riviera is also an EPCOT resort and deserves an honorable mention here. Although it is not walking distance from EPCOT or Hollywood Studios, the Skyliner is a huge draw. It is stroller-friendly (single strollers and tandem double strollers do not need to be collapsed), and some toddlers enjoy riding the Skyliner so much that they consider it an attraction in its own right.

Animal Kingdom Villas

Animal Kingdom Villas relies on bus transportation for each of the theme parks, but it still remains a popular pick for families with young children because of the incredible savannas that are home to more than 200 animals!

Both Jambo House and Kidani Village offer Savanna View rooms as a booking category, which means you and your family can have fun spotting animals like zebras, giraffes, and gazelles from your own balcony. Even if you don’t book a Savanna View room, there are plenty of public viewing areas near the lobby or pool areas where you can view animals.
