TRON Lightcycle / Run Gets Tron: Ares Overlay
Starting September 15, 2025, Magic Kingdom’s TRON Lightcycle / Run will debut a limited-time overlay celebrating the upcoming film Tron: Ares. The update will swap the attraction’s iconic blue tones for dramatic red and orange light trails, set to a new industrial soundtrack by Nine Inch Nails. Shanghai Disneyland will launch its version on September 16.

Carousel of Progress Receives First Update in 30 Years
Magic Kingdom’s Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress will see its first major update in three decades. The refresh includes a brand-new opening scene featuring an Audio-Animatronics figure of Walt Disney himself, honoring his original vision for the attraction. Imagineers noted that while the family’s story will evolve, the heart of the show will remain intact.

Cinderella Castle Returns to Its Original Colors
Walt Disney World’s most iconic landmark, Cinderella Castle, is also getting a fresh new look. Imagineers announced that the castle will soon return to a color palette inspired by its classic, original scheme, with soft grays, creams, blues, and elegant touches of gold. The project team emphasized the extensive research and care being taken to ensure the refreshed design highlights the castle’s timeless architecture.
