Disney World October 2025 Schedule: Events, Closures & More
October has lots of seasonal fun at Disney World. There are pumpkins on Main Street, Halloween parties happening each week and a food and wine festival you’ll want to indulge in. There are also some new things happening at the place where dreams come true in October of 2025. Here’s what you have to look forward to this month at Disney World.
Must See at Disney World in October 2025
Spaceship Earth Reopens on October 25th
After a two month refurbishment closure, the Epcot park icon Spaceship Earth will reopen. This slow moving attraction will begin taking guests through the history of communications technology again soon. The refurbishment is anticipated to be for routine updates and not any major ride or set changes.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party: Sold Out for the Year
While Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a premier event at Walt Disney World in October, the event is already sold out for the year.
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival Continues: What’s New
The Epcot food and wine event runs from August 28 to November 22 this year. Here’s what’s new, or newer, for October.
Even if you visited the festival already this year, there are some Global Marketplaces, or food booths, that opened later in the event. Both the Coastal Eats and Gyozas of the Galaxy booths near Test Track opened on September 28th.
Eat to the Beat Concert Series October 2025
Different musical acts rotate throughout the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival with nightly showtimes of: 5:30 p.m, 6:45 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.

- New Found Glory October 5 and 6 (New in 2025!)

- The Wanted 2.0 October 10 and 11 (New in 2025!)

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Gets a Menu Makeover
The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at Magic Kingdom Park has some changes in offerings happening this month. Disney shares this:
“New enhancements are coming to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, including special visits from The Fairy Godmother! We will also be rolling out new, simplified package options. These updates are coming in early October.”
Remember this offering is for guests ages 3 to 12.
The Fairy Godmother has not made regular appearances in the park since before the pandemic. She used to meet guests behind the castle at Magic Kingdom early in the day.
When will other Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique locations open?
Could the simplified package options mean something else? Perhaps a resort wide overhaul for the princess salon experience? The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutiques at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa and Disney Springs never reopened after the pandemic. The Disney Springs location is quite large and the Grand Floridian location is right in the lobby.
Mickey and Minnie in New Outfits at DVC Exclusive ImaginAtrium
New Mickey and Minnie travel inspired looks are debuting later this year at the Disney Vacation Club ImaginAtrium lounge at Epcot. The pair will appear in outfits in blue hues that sparkle and also showcase a map of the globe. This meet and greet is reserved for Disney Vacation Club Members who have purchased the Membership Magic Beyond perks add on. Typically Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps from Zootopia have appeared for meet and greets in this location. This is the first time characters will debut new outfits in this spot for those with Membership Magic Beyond.

Park Closures and Ride Refurbishments in October at WDW
If you’re visiting Walt Disney World in October, remember these are also closed temporarily for refurbishment:
- Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin at Magic Kingdom
- Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at Magic Kingdom
- Disney Jr. Play and Dance! at Hollywood Studios
- Kali River Rapids at Animal Kingdom closes October 6 and reopens in December
- Spaceship Earth at Epcot reopens October 25
Disney World October 2025 Refurbishments
The porte cochere at both Disney’s Beach Club Resort and Disney’s Yacht Club Resort remain closed with ongoing construction work. You may have booked a stay at Beach Club thinking construction would be finished at this point but it seems to have been extended through November. See additional DVC refurbishments and updates.
October Weather at Disney World: Hurricanes and What You Need to Know
We are still in hurricane season in the Atlantic. Disney World is very organized with hurricane recovery and reopening efforts but it’s good to be aware of potential storms and how they may impact your trip. You may want to pay attention to the weather and take a look at hurricane cancellation policies just in case. Hurricane season ends November 30.
