Do All DVC Two Bedroom Villas Fit the Same Number of Guests?
Two Bedroom Villas are a great option when planning a vacation with a larger group of friends or extended family. While most DVC resorts offer Two Bedroom Villas, they can vary in terms of layout and capacity from resort to resort. Here’s a breakdown of how many guests fit in the Two Bedroom Villas at each resort.
Up to 8 Guests
There are only two resorts that sleep a maximum of 8 guests in the Two Bedroom Villa. One is Copper Creek. Whether you book a Dedicated Two Bedroom Villa or a Lock-off, the maximum is still 8 guests.
At Animal Kingdom Lodge’s Jambo House, the Value Two Bedroom Lock-off is slightly smaller in terms of square footage compared to the ones in the Resort View, Savanna View, and Kilimanjaro Club Concierge booking categories. The Value ones can only sleep up to 8 guests with a king size bed, queen size bed, double size sleeper sofa, and queen size sleeper sofa. There are no Value Dedicated Two Bedroom Villas.
Up to 9 Guests
Most DVC Two Bedroom Villas can accommodate up to 9 guests. At Disney World, these include the ones at Bay Lake Tower, Jambo House (minus the Values ones as explained above), Polynesian, Old Key West, and Saratoga Springs. All of the coastal DVC resorts (Vero Beach, Hilton Head Island, and Aulani) as well those at Disneyland (Disneyland Hotel and the Grand Californian) sleep up to 9 guests in the Two Bedroom Villas.
Up to 9 Guests (With a Caveat)
When booking a Two Bedroom Villa at the Beach Club or Boulder Ridge, you’ll notice that the DVC website says a “9th Guest can be accommodated, but no additional bedding, linens or towels will be provided.” This is because the Dedicated Two Bedroom Villas have a king bed in the master bedroom, two queen size beds in the second bedroom, and a queen size Murphy bed in the living room. If bringing a 9th guest, you would need to bring an air mattress or sleeping bag.
At these resorts and the BoardWalk, the Lock-offs should be able to comfortably sleep up to 9 without additional bedding since the Studio portion of the room sleeps up to 5 guests, and the One Bedroom Villa sleeps up to 4 guests.
Up to 10 Guests
The Grand Floridian and Riviera fit the most guests in their Two Bedroom Villas, which can sleep up to 10 guests. In the Dedicated Two Bedroom Villas, there is a king size bed in the master bedroom, two queen beds in the second bedroom, a queen size Murphy bed in the living room, and a single pulldown bed in the living room. In the Lock-offs, you’re able to sleep up to 5 guests in the Studio side and up to 5 guests in the One Bedroom side.
