Gideon’s Bakehouse: October Treats at Disney Springs!

October 22, 2025
By

It was one of those perfect fall days at Disney Springs: warm but breezy; the kind of afternoon that calls for a sweet treat. I figured there was no better place to indulge than Gideon’s Bakehouse, where October means the return of some of the most sought-after seasonal goodies. Put on your coziest flannel and virtually join me as I try a little bit of everything sweet from this month’s lineup!

Stepping Into the Spookhouse

In October, Gideon’s Bakehouse becomes Gideon’s “Spookhouse;” a theme that perfectly encapsulates the experience. Both the Frankenstein and Bride of Frankenstein cookies are back for the season, and the shop smells absolutely over-the-top chocolatey. This month, the team has even created three special menus, complete with spooky artwork featuring the seasonal offerings.

The Dark Mocha Cold Brew

First up was the Dark Mocha Cold Brew, exclusive to Gideon’s Disney Springs location this month. Just looking at it, you can tell it’s darker than the usual blends. One sip and I knew this was a classic; it tastes like brownie batter in cold brew form.

All of Gideon’s cold brews are vegan, made with oat milk and coffee roasted locally by Lineage Roasters. Smooth, rich, and indulgent, this one is a winner. At $6.50 for a 16-ounce cup, it’s the perfect pairing for any of Gideon’s signature cookies.

The Question Everyone Asks: “Is It Worth It?”

Whenever I share Gideon’s, someone always asks if it’s worth the wait and the price. My answer is always the same: it’s worth it for me. Ultimately, you never know until you try, and that’s part of the fun.

The Bride of Frankenstein cookie is a gorgeous vanilla bean cookie base packed with white chocolate, crumbled golden Oreos, and topped with M&M’s. The flavor is buttery and vanilla forward, balanced beautifully by the candy crunch. A team member even shared that it’s her favorite between the two seasonal cookies, and after trying it myself, I can see why.

The Frankenstein cookie is equally impressive. Built on a chocolate chip cookie base, it features crumbled double-stuffed Oreos, dark chocolate, and a topping of M&M’s. Moist, rich, and indulgent, this cookie is a dream come true for chocolate and Oreo lovers. It is one of those seasonal treats you do not want to miss.

Bride of Frankenstein Cake

On Thursdays and Sundays, Gideon’s also offers the Bride of Frankenstein cake slice. This October specialty features layers of vanilla and chocolate cake with golden Oreo buttercream and an upside down dripping ganache design that looks as dramatic as it tastes.

The cake is moist and holds up well against the creamy frosting. It’s rich, sweet, and packed with texture thanks to the Oreo crumbles and mini M&M’s. At $11 per slice, it is a massive portion and perfect for sharing (though you might be tempted not to).

Pricing Snapshot

  • Bride of Frankenstein Cake Slice: $11
  • Frankenstein Cookie: $7
  • Bride of Frankenstein Cookie: $7
  • Dark Mocha Cold Brew (16 oz): $6.50

Yes, the limited edition cookies have gone up slightly in price this year, but for me, they remain worth the extra cost.

Staying at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort or Old Key West Resort? Gideon’s Bakehouse is just a short walk or boat ride away. It is the perfect arrival day treat.

So which would you try first, the Bride of Frankenstein cookie, the Frankenstein cookie, the cake, or the cold brew? Maybe all four?
