Is Festival of the Arts the Most Kid-Friendly EPCOT Festival?
EPCOT is home to four different festivals throughout the year, including EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, and EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival.
While these festivals are similar in format with food booths and live performances, Festival of the Arts may be the most kid-friendly. Here’s why!
Lots of Arts and Crafts for All Ages
A unique part of Festival of the Arts is all the activities that let kids express their creative side! At Expression Section, they can paint a few squares of the large mural on the walkway between World Showcase and the Imagination! Pavilion. Nearby, kids can create their own work of art out of chalk.
Kids may also appreciate Animation Academy at America Gardens Theatre. Just like the Animation Academy in Animal Kingdom, guests can learn how to draw a Disney character.
Games for the Whole Family
Figment’s Brush with the Masters Scavenger Hunt
Like many other EPCOT festivals, Festival of the Arts hosts a scavenger hunt called Figment’s Brush with the Masters Scavenger Hunt. You can purchase a map and stickers and search in each of the World Showcase pavilions for Figment who is hiding inside art inspired by famous paintings. When you complete your map with the corresponding stickers, you can pick up a small prize. The scavenger hunt is a fun way for kids to explore the World Showcase.
Disney Lorcana Trading Card Game
Lorcana has become quite popular in recent years, and it’s coming to the 2026 Festival of the Arts! The festival website mentions that guests can “embark on fun adventures around the festival with this themed card game” and that there will be “exciting activities for the whole family.” You can join a Collection Quest and open Lorcana booster packs and trade cards with other guests at the Ilumineer’s Lounge in the Morocco Pavilion. When you complete the quest, you can redeem a limited edition Magical Places promo card.
There’s also Ink & Find, an adventure in which guests look for larger-than-life trading cards around EPCOT using a complimentary Festival Questbook. As you find a card, you can add the corresponding sticker to the Questbook. After you find all the cards, you can receive another limited edition Magical Place promo card.
Kid-friendly Foods to Try
Yes, every festival offers a wide variety of food booths to try, but the dishes at Festival of the Arts tend to have a playful flair when it comes to presentation. While the menus for 2026 have yet to be announced, there will be plenty of kid-friendly dishes. In the past, items like the rainbow cake with SKITTLES® freeze dried candy, tomato soup and grilled cheese, and artist palette jumbo chocolate chip cookie (complete with colored icing that you can paint onto the cookie) were sure to please younger guests.
