Is Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Worth It?
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is back for 2025! With tickets going on sale for Disney resort guests on July 16 and for the general public on July 20, is it worthwhile buying this special event ticket?
Worth It
You Value Unique Entertainment
If you’re looking to get into the holiday spirit, there’s no event more festive than Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party! Sure, there are lower crowds and thus shorter wait times for most attractions as well as unlimited complimentary cookies and hot cocoa, but the party-exclusive entertainment is what makes the party unique.
There’s the classic Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime parade, complete with Mickey and his friends, the iconic toy soldiers, and of course Santa! Then there is the spectacular Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show that lights up the sky with special perimeter fireworks and Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration stage show in front of Cinderella Castle that is full of festive cheer.
You Plan to Replace a Park Ticket with a Party Ticket
Tickets to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party aren’t cheap. For 2025, they range from $169 to $229 per ticket. However, in comparison to a regular date-based park ticket, party tickets are close in price with the added bonus of shorter wait times and party-exclusive offerings. If you plan to purchase a party ticket in lieu of a regular park day ticket, it can be a worthwhile value.
Not Worth It
You’ve Been There, Done That
If you’ve gone to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party several times in the past, you’ll notice it doesn’t change much from year to year. Some years, the only changes are small updates to the menu of treats and the variety of rare characters you can meet. If you find yourself bored of the nearly identical offerings from year to year, perhaps it’s time to check out the glamorous festivities over at Jollywood Nights at Hollywood Studios.
You’re Traveling with a Large Party
Tickets for an entire travel party can really add up, especially when you are traveling with lots of friends or extended family. Debating about the value of all those party tickets can be especially challenging if you have young children among your party who may or may not be able to handle those late night party hours well. However, even if the party turns out not to be for you, there are plenty of other jolly offerings to enjoy at Walt Disney World throughout the holiday season.
