March 2026: Most In-Demand Resorts for DVC Rentals
With high Guest demand for summer vacations, increased payouts for the 0-7 month booking window, and increased payouts at select resorts at the 7-11 month window, now is a great time for DVC Members to rent out any points they don’t plan to use!
If you have ever wondered which resorts are most in demand, here’s a look at DVC Rental Store’s open listings to see which DVC resorts are the most requested as of March 2026.
What Is an Open Listing?
Open listings are Guests’ DVC rental requests that have yet to be fulfilled. These include specific resorts, travel dates, and room types. When you browse the open listings, you can filter the results by resort, number of points, arrival or departure dates, or keyword to best match what you can book with your DVC points.
Which Resorts Are Most Popular?
As of the middle of March 2026, there are 336 open listings. From this snapshot of 336 listings, here are the top 5 most popular resorts:
5. Copper Creek
Sometimes overlooked, Copper Creek comes in fifth place with 20 Guest requests. Copper Creek is a great alternative to the monorail resorts when you want to spend a lot of time at the Magic Kingdom. The resort is only a short boat ride away from the Magic Kingdom, but it is much more peaceful in its woodland setting than the Polynesian, Grand Floridian, and Bay Lake Tower. At the 7-11 month window, Copper Creek requests currently have Member payouts of $16 per point.
4. The Cabins at Fort Wilderness
The Cabins at Fort Wilderness comes in fourth with 22 requests with payouts of $19 per point at the 7-11 month window. These new standalone accommodations sleep up to 6 guests and have a full kitchen and private patio. The Cabins are in high demand from August to December since the campsites are particularly festive for Halloween and the holiday season. Guests are permitted to decorate their Cabins, as long as they follow Disney’s property rules.
3. Grand Floridian
Disney World’s flagship resort, the Grand Floridian, once again comes in third place with 37 requests. The picture of Victorian elegance, the resort has its own spa, monorail access, and 3 signature restaurants. Guests can soon enjoy The Garden View Lounge – Tea Experience at the Grand Floridian, which opens on March 19. Members renting out Grand Floridian points receive a payout of $18 per point at the 7-11 month window.
2. Animal Kingdom Villas
Animal Kingdom Villas is in second place with 43 requests. It’s one of the most unique Disney World resorts with more than 30 species of African wildlife that can be viewed from the Savanna View rooms or the many public viewing areas around the resort. Animal Kingdom Villas includes both Jambo House and Kidani Village. Members renting out points for Animal Kingdom Villas at the 7-11 month window earn $17 per point.
1. Polynesian and Old Key West
In a surprising tie, the Polynesian and Old Key West each had 49 requests!
The Polynesian frequently tops this list with its convenient monorail access, tropical theming, and dining favorites like ‘Ohana, Capt. Cook’s, and Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto. At the 7-11 month window, Polynesian requests currently have Member payouts of $21 per point.
Old Key West is not typically among the top 5 most in-demand for rentals, but it’s the perfect DVC resort when you want a quieter ambiance and some of the largest DVC rooms by square footage. Another advantage of Old Key West is that the points chart is low, which makes longer stays or larger room types more affordable for Guests renting points. At the 7-11 month booking window, Old Key West Member payouts are $17 per point.
How Do I Claim an Open Listing?
DVC Members can create an account on the DVC Rental Store website and browse through the open listings. If there is a request that you can fulfill with your points, you can click the Claim button next to the listing.
You’ll then verify which of your DVC points you will use to make that reservation and agree to the booking terms. The claim will then be removed from the open listings page. You will also get an email with the next steps to complete the rental, including instructions and the guest information you will need to book the reservation.
