It’s often best to rent out your points as soon as possible. However, with high demand for 2026 vacations, now is a great time for DVC Members to rent out their points within the 0-7 month booking window! Plus, Member payouts have been increased for all resorts within the 0-7 month window for a limited time!
Why Rent Out Points at the 0-7 Month Window?
Besides Guest demand being high for 2026 reservations within the 0-7 month window, there are a couple of advantages to renting out your points within this timeframe:
You Can Book at Non-Home Resorts
First, many DVC points can be used for non-home resorts within the 0-7 month window. This makes it easier for you to match your points with a Guest’s reservation request. For example, if you own points from Saratoga Springs, you could still help fulfill a Guest’s request for a stay at Old Key West within the 0-7 month window if there is room availability.
You Receive the Full Payout Sooner
With the DVC Rental Store, you receive 75% of your rental payout after you confirm the reservation number, the Guest pays the full deposit, and all agreements have been signed. The remaining 25% when the Guest checks in. Compared to booking a rental within the 7-11 month window, booking within the 0-7 month window means you’re closer to the Guest checking in and thus receiving the final 25% of your payout.

How Do I Rent My Points?
The quickest and easiest way to rent your points out is to claim an open listing. Browse the Open Listings to view reservation requests, including the desired resort, dates, and the total number of points needed to book the reservation. Once you find a listing that you can fulfill, click on the red “Claim” button, and you’ll receive an email with details on how to complete the reservation, such as the Guest’s name and contact info, room type, and booking category.
