Storytelling & Atmosphere
The Beak and Barrel was founded by Captain Meridian “Merry” Goldwyn and her parrot first mate, Rummy—a character designed to echo the original Barker Bird from the classic attraction.
The tavern includes multiple themed interior spaces:
- The Mess – A central gathering space featuring long communal tables, a striking anchor-shaped chandelier with melting candles, and a bar adorned with a skull motif and weathered shipwreck materials.
- Captain’s Quarters – Once the private room of a pirate commander, now reimagined as a richly themed space with weathered walls, storytelling details, and a display of miniature ships in glass bottles (some of which may magically animate).
Drinks & Dining Highlights
Guests will be limited to two drinks per person, and there’s an expected 45-minute time limit per party.
Destined to make a splash, The Beak and Barrel will offer a creative and flavorful menu filled with pirate-worthy surprises. Sure to be crowd-pleasers include The Salty Seas mARRRgarita, a fun pirate twist on a classic cocktail and Treasure Trove Mocktail, a family-friendly, tropical concoction packed with flair.
We’re especially intrigued by the Kraken’s Catch, a cold salad garnished with (you guessed it) octopus tentacles(!!) and topped with Piquillo pepper-almond foam.
