Tips for Dining with Picky Eaters at Disney World
There are so many different restaurants to choose from when you’re on vacation at Disney World, sometimes it can be hard to know what to book. It can feel even more challenging if there’s a picky eater in your travel group. Luckily, whether you have a little one who only likes certain foods or even an adult in your travel party who just enjoys simpler foods, there are lots of great options and ways to accommodate them at Disney World.
Review Menus in Advance
You can view any of the restaurant menus in advance either online on Disney World website or the My Disney Experience app. This makes it easy to scope out dishes that your travel party will enjoy. If you know where you’ll be staying or which parks you’ll be visiting, you can even filter the restaurant lists by location.
For adult picky eaters, it may be helpful to know that you can easily order off of the kids’ menu for quick service restaurants. Some table service restaurants may be able to accommodate adult picky eaters as well if you ask to have an adult portion of a kids’ entree (for the price of an adult entree).
If you’re looking for quick service or table service restaurants with foods like chicken strips, french fries, and pizza, here are a few suggestions:
- Magic Kingdom
- Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe
- Pinocchio Village Haus
- EPCOT
- Connections Eatery
- Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria
- Hollywood Studios
- Backlot Express
- Rosie’s All-American Cafe
- Animal Kingdom
- Pizzafari
- Disney Springs

Go for Buffets
Disney World buffets have something for everyone! You’ll often find options like chicken strips in the kids’ section of the buffet, and guests of any age are welcome to eat those foods–you don’t have to be a kid. As a bonus, some of these restaurants offer character dining, so you can meet some of your favorite Disney characters!
Some buffets to consider are:
- 1900 Park Fare (Grand Floridian)
- Biergarten Restaurant (EPCOT)
- Boma (Animal Kingdom Lodge – Jambo House)
- Cape May Cafe (Beach Club)
- Chef Mickey’s (Bay Lake Tower/Contemporary)
- The Crystal Palace (Magic Kingdom)
- Hollywood & Vine (Hollywood Studios)

Order Groceries
Another great way to ensure your picky eater has his or her favorite foods to eat is to have groceries delivered to your resort. If you use a delivery service, they can leave your groceries with bell services at your resort. Except for Grand Floridian Resort Studios and Duo Studios at the Polynesian Island Tower which have beverage coolers, DVC rooms typically have a mini fridge in the Studios or a full fridge in the One Bedroom Villas and larger units. Studios also have a microwave and toaster, and the larger villas have full kitchens, so you can easily cook in your room.

There are lots of new experiences coming to Disney World in 2026! Start planning your next Disney vacation by browsing the confirmed reservations or requesting a free quote to rent DVC points.
