Unique Things to Do at DVC Resorts
All of the DVC resorts host recreational activities. You’ll often find things like make-your-own tie-dye Mickey shirts, pool games, and movies under the stars. Some even have community halls with video games and additional crafts such as ceramics. However, some DVC resorts have unique offerings that you won’t find anywhere else!
Animal Kingdom Villas
Animal Kingdom Lodge is the only resort to have savannas with more than 200 animals, and a fun way to get a closer look at those animals is to join the Starlight Safari that is held at Kidani Village. This nighttime safari allows guests to see more than 20 African species across the resort’s savannas, such as zebras, giraffes, wildebeest, and antelopes, using a night vision device. This tour is for guests ages 8 and up and costs $89 to $99 per person plus tax.

Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness
The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness have the most outdoor recreational activities among the DVC resorts. One particularly different offering is the Wilderness Back Trail Adventure. This is a 2-hour tour of the Fort Wilderness resort grounds on a Segway X2! Guided by a cast member, you’ll travel along the woodland trails and stop at Tri-Circle-D Ranch and Bay Lake while learning fun facts and trivia along the way. The tour is $90 to $99 per person plus tax, and guests must be 16 and up to participate.
Grand Floridian
The Grand Floridian is currently the only Disney World resort offering spa treatments and in-room dining, but it also hosts a magical experience that is frequently overlooked. On the second floor of the main building, you’ll find a PhotoPass spot next to M. Mouse Mercantile. Besides offering a nice backdrop and some props that you can pose with such as a birthday sign, there’s one special prop: Cinderella’s glass slipper! It’s a perfect photo op for your favorite princess fan.

Copper Creek/Boulder Ridge
Creating your own artwork can be a great way to have fun and make your own one-of-a-kind souvenir. While at Copper Creek or Boulder Ridge at Wilderness Lodge, you can do the usual crafts and Mickey tie-dye, but there’s also Tasteful Artistry at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. During this activity at Artist Point, you can create your own wooden artwork. You can use it as a sign, add handles to make it a breakfast tray, or add hooks to hang items. Included with your registration fee are light bites, wine, and craft beer. Currently, the activity is being held on Thursdays at 12pm. To reserve your spot, call 689-282-8375.
BoardWalk
The BoardWalk has such a special ambiance, especially at night. Just like a typical boardwalk, there are games to play with prizes to win. You’ll also catch a variety of sideshows like acapella groups, jugglers, magicians, and acrobats. Just grab an ice cream from BoardWalk Ice Cream, and enjoy the show!
