Which DVC Studios Have Split Bathrooms?

November 6, 2025
By

While most DVC studios have a single bathroom, a handful of them have a split bathroom with an extra shower.  That extra shower can make it much easier to get ready for a fun day at the theme parks, especially if there are 5 guests sharing the room.  Here are the DVC Studios where you’ll find a split bathroom layout.

Grand Floridian

At the Grand Floridian, the Deluxe Studios have a bathroom that is split into two sections with sliding doors in between.  The first section has a rainfall shower and sink, and the second side has a tub/shower and toilet.  When booking, be sure to select the Deluxe Studio for the split bathroom and not the Resort Studio.  Resort Studios have the same layout as the Grand Floridian Hotel Rooms and only have one bathroom with a tub/shower, double sinks, and a toilet.

Polynesian

Over at the Polynesian, the tub/shower, sink, and toilet are in one room, and there is a second room with a rainfall shower and sink.  If you want a Polynesian Deluxe Studio with this split bathroom, select the regular Deluxe Studio when making your resort reservation.  These are the studios located in the Tokelau, Pago Pago, and Moorea longhouses.

The studios in the Tower are a separate booking category and labeled on the DVC website as “Tower – Deluxe Studio.”  The Island Tower Deluxe Studios have one bathroom with a rainfall shower, sink, and toilet all in the same room.

Riviera

Riviera’s Deluxe Studios are very similar in layout to those at the Grand Floridian with the bathroom divided into two sections with sliding doors in between.  One side has the tub/shower and sink while the other side has the toilet and rainfall shower.

Notable Exception

While the Deluxe Studios mentioned above typically have split bathrooms, it’s worth noting that some accessible rooms are the exception.  Occasionally, accessible rooms are assigned to guests who did not request these accommodations.

At the Grand Floridian and Riviera, accessible rooms have just the tub or roll-in shower on one side of the bathroom and the toilet on the other.  There is no second shower.

In the Polynesian Deluxe Studios with the roll-in shower, there is a split bathroom, but the layout is a little different. The first bathroom with the toilet has the roll-in shower, and in place of the rainfall shower, there is a tub.
